Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Mental Health Counselor Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Mental Health Counselor to join our team full-time. This is not a remote position. In this role, you will provide mental health support and therapy to individuals, couples, youth, and families seeking counseling services. Your fluency in both English and Spanish will enable you to effectively communicate with and understand clients from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments: Perform initial evaluations to gather pertinent information about clients' mental health history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. 2. Qualifications: 1. Master's Degree: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Candidates working towards licensure are also eligible. (must be registered with DORA) 2. Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience providing counseling services, with a focus on treating trauma from mild to severe. 3. Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish, with exceptional oral and written communication skills in both languages. 4. Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of evidence-based counseling theories, techniques, and interventions. 5. Position Details: Therapy Focus: The goal of our therapy services is to stabilize clients and provide them with longer-term support through group therapy.
