HumanHire is seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join a well-established outpatient clinic in Bay Shore, NY. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-facing environment, keeps things organized under pressure, and understands that first impressions matter.
- Compensation: Starting at $22/hr
- Location: Bay Shore, NY
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.5-hr shifts between 7am-7pm
- Stability: Consistent weekday hours in an outpatient setting
- Team Environment: Supportive clinical and administrative team that values collaboration and respect
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Communicate clearly with English- and Spanish-speaking patients
- Answer phones, manage messages, and route calls appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect co-pays and process payments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Address patient questions, concerns, and basic administrative needs
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- 1+ year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing role
- Prior medical office or healthcare experience strongly preferred
