Job Summary
The Bentley APM Contractor / Consultant provides deep technical expertise to configure, extend, and support Bentley Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions. This role partners closely with internal IT and Electric Operations stakeholders to deliver new use cases, support platform upgrades, resolve production issues, and build long-term internal capability through hands-on training and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
Bentley APM Technical Leadership
- Provide hands-on configuration and technical leadership within Bentley APM, including data models, rules/logic, workflows, health and risk frameworks, dashboards, and reporting
- Design and implement new Bentley APM solutions aligned to Electric Operations asset and maintenance processes
- Lead and support Bentley APM release upgrades, including impact analysis, configuration updates, regression testing, and go-live support
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend performance and stability improvements
- Partner with internal IT and operations teams to translate business requirements into Bentley APM configurations and technical designs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including configuration guides, runbooks, admin SOPs, and upgrade notes
Training & Upskilling
- Develop and deliver structured training programs for administrators, analysts, support engineers, and power users
- Lead hands-on workshops covering configuration, troubleshooting, upgrade readiness, and best practices
- Create reusable training materials such as slide decks, exercises, checklists, and “how-to” guides
- Coach internal teams through pairing and real-world execution to ensure long-term knowledge transfer
Required Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a Bentley APM Subject Matter Expert with multiple implementations and/or significant production support experience
- Strong technical depth in Bentley APM configuration, troubleshooting, environment support, and release upgrades
- Experience working in a utility environment (electric preferred)
- Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance processes
Preferred
- SAP exposure, including integration touchpoints and work management concepts
- Experience with integrations and data flows (APIs, ETL, data warehouses/lakes, reporting tools) within an APM context
Equipment & Work Environment
- This position requires a laptop
- Interim solution for delays may include Virtual Desktop access using a personal or supplier-provided device
- Hybrid work model with onsite presence required at least once per week
