Job Details
As the Benefits Manager at our company, you will be responsible for designing and operating the employee benefits program. You will be required to have a solid understanding of company policies and government regulations. You will monitor employee activity and provide benefits information to employees. You’ll also collaborate with the HR and Legal teams to ensure employees receive appropriate benefits.
What You'll Do
- Research benefits program options and present the best options to stakeholders.
- Design benefits programs to include the best options in health insurance, retirement plans, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and other perks.
- Maintain a knowledge of the best insurance plans on the market suited to our employees’ needs.
- Provide training for new employees to understand their benefits.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees with questions about benefits and maintain a knowledge of resources they can be directed to.
- Understand the cost of benefits and communicate it with stakeholders.
- Manage HRIS software to track employee activity and send benefit packages.
- Study government requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain an understanding of our company’s mission.
- Manage relationships with insurance companies.
- Serve as an advocate for employee benefits while promoting company standards.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR
- Proficiency using HRIS
- Knowledge of benefits packages and government regulations
