Summary
The Benefits Analyst supports the administration and coordination of the company’s health, welfare, retirement, and leave of absence/disability programs. This role helps ensure employees have a positive benefits experience and assists with maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The Benefits Analyst works closely with the Benefits team, employees, HR Business Partners, and external vendors to provide accurate information, resolve issues, and support ongoing program improvements.
This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
+ Assist in building and maintaining relationships with benefit brokers and vendor partners.
+ Provide support and guidance to employees and leaders on benefit programs.
+ Participate in the Annual Enrollment process, including preparing materials and assisting with employee presentations.
+ Process benefit changes related to qualifying life events.
+ Help resolve vendor and employee benefit issues and escalate as needed.
+ Support Health Savings Account (HSA) administration, including employee questions and funding requests.
+ Identify opportunities to improve benefit processes and employee experience.
+ Cross-train with other Benefits team members and provide backup support.
+ Assist with consolidating and submitting benefit invoices for payment.
Retirement Plans
+ Provide employee support for 401(k) plan questions and basic plan administration.
+ Assist in the day-to-day processing of 401(k) transactions, including elections and distributions.
+ Support data management, reporting, and plan funding activities.
+ Assist with reviewing and submitting invoices related to retirement plan administrative expenses.
Leave Administration
+ Support employees, HRBPs, and leaders with various types of leaves (short-term disability, PFL, PPL).
+ Coordinate with disability vendors to gather leave information and monitor leave status.
+ Assist with calculating payroll hour utilization during leaves.
+ Provide support throughout the accommodation process to ensure a smooth employee experience.
Plan Compliance
+ Assist with monitoring program compliance and preparing documentation for audits and regulatory filings.
+ Identify and report potential compliance issues to the Benefits Compliance Senior Analyst.
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year accredited college or university with a concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred, HS Diploma or Equivalent with relevant experience is required.
+ 2–3 years of experience in benefits administration or related HR role preferred.
+ Familiarity with benefits compliance, systems management, and vendor coordination.
+ Experience with SAP or other HR/benefits systems preferred; BenefitSolver a plus.
+ Knowledge of benefit laws and regulations such as HIPAA, FMLA, ADAA, COBRA, and ACA.
+ Understanding of federal/state leave laws, statutory and city sick pay regulations, and internal leave reporting preferred.
+ Experience supporting retirement and HSA plans is a plus.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
