Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify a Benefits Administrator. This role is responsible for administering employee leave programs and supporting benefits operations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of leave regulations, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach to employee support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of employee leave cases, including federal, state, and employer-sponsored programs, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Act as a key resource for employees and managers by answering questions related to leave policies, required documentation, and timelines.
  • Prepare and submit required paperwork for leave-related matters, including employment verifications and legally mandated documentation.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to manage disability and life insurance claims from initiation through resolution.
  • Educate employees on how leave impacts benefits coverage, including continuation options and eligibility changes.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations such as FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA, including completion of required reporting.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records within HR systems, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of all leave cases.
  • Support communication efforts by helping develop and deliver resources that explain leave and benefits policies.
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions, benefit enrollments, and status updates.
  • Reconcile benefits and leave data with external vendors and internal systems to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Review and process benefit changes related to qualifying life events, ensuring proper documentation and timely updates.
  • Analyze data and prepare regular reports to support operational tracking and strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain and update internal process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; additional education in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HR, leave administration, or benefits, including handling complex cases and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of leave laws and regulations, including FMLA and ADA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; familiarity with ExponentHR is a plus.
