BAS Operations / Project Manager
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Industry: Building Automation / HVAC Controls

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Operations / Project Manager to oversee BAS projects and support day-to-day operational execution for a regional controls integration firm. This role blends project management, team coordination, and technical oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior BAS Technician, Programmer, or Project Manager ready to step into a leadership-focused role.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage multiple building automation projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
  • Review project budgets, track costs, and maintain financial performance
  • Lead project meetings and serve as the primary client contact during execution
  • Review submittals, control drawings, and sequences of operation
  • Support estimating and sales during project turnover
  • Identify operational improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in Building Automation / HVAC Controls
  • Prior experience managing BAS projects or leading technical teams
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and BAS platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client communication
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
