Welcome to Sister, an exciting new project from Duro Hospitality. Duro, owned by Chas Martin, Benji Homsey and Corbin and Ross See, founded The Charles in the design district in May of 2018. Chas with executive chef and now Partner J Chastain led The Charles to be the best reviewed restaurant in Dallas and one of the hardest reservations to get in town. Duro is RAPIDLY growing! We have 3 new iconic restaurants slated to open over the next 18 months and we are beginning to look at other opportunities outside of Dallas. Duro believes that our people are our number 1 asset and we need people that want to grow with us!
Sister is a new chapter in an iconic location. Sister will live in halls of the famed Grape, a Dallas icon for over 40 years. Situated in the lower Greenville area, Sister will serve east Dallas but is also minutes from I-75 and Highland Park. She will serve loosely Italian inspired neighborhood fare. Wood fired meats and fish, pasta, and light Mediterranean cuisine will make up the menu.
Sister we be open 7 nights per week and Friday through Sunday all day. Our staff will have companywide perks, access to insurance, leadership training and other benefits of a growing company.

A bartender is responsible for providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons while satisfying their beverage needs. An understanding of mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits is an integral part of the job. Taking beverage orders from customers and wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail is vitally important to the success of the restaurant.
Job Duties
- Balancing cash receipts
- Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
- Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
- Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
- Placing orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies
- Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
- Planning bar menus
- Creating unique drinks
- Preparing and serving appetizers, snacks, or other food items for customers at the bar
- Complying with all food and beverage regulations
- Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour
- Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
- Satisfying patron requests in a timely manner.
- Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations.
- Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed
