Barista

Job Overview
Cafecita is a specialty coffee roaster, caterer, and cafe. All of our coffees are single origin, roasted in small batches, and sourced exclusively from sustainable women-owned coffee farms. We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic barista to join our team. Our cafe is an electric coffee trailer that is located at Flora Grubb Gardens, a 2 acre nursery in Marina del Rey. We're open Saturdays and Sundays from 9-4.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your expertise in coffee preparation while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
  
• Operate Square POS system for order processing and transactions
  
• Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy periods
  
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
  
• Ensure the cafe environment is very welcoming, organized, and well-stocked at all times
  
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, answer questions about Cafecita and our menu items, and promote sales of products
  

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a barista with strong knowledge and passion for coffee brewing techniques
  
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
  
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with cafe operations. Our cafe is a mobile coffee trailer where space is limited.
