We are seeking a skilled Back-End Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications using Java and PL/SQL. You will collaborate with front-end developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable web solutions. While the primary focus is on back-end development, familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and React, along with experience in Oracle Database, will be essential to integrate and support full-stack workflows effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic using Java to support web applications.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless integration with front-end systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate React-based user interfaces with back-end functionality.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Work with Oracle Database to design, query, and optimize relational databases (e.g., writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure security and data protection measures are implemented in all back-end processes.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Core Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Java (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar frameworks).
• Experience with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and performance tuning).
• Web Development:
o Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for supporting front-end integration.
o Familiarity with React to collaborate effectively with front-end teams.

Additional Skills:
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of web servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat) and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
• Knowledge of OpenText Web Experience Management and Portal v16.x

Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in back-end development with Java and Oracle PL/SQL
