Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Azure Application Architect. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Azure Platform Architect to facilitate application discovery, technical assessment, and migration readiness analysis for workloads moving to Azure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience migrating Client Dynamics workloads and a range of Azure services.
• Proficiency with Azure Migrate for discovery/assessment and Azure Resource Graph for inventory and reporting.
• Experience with Client Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• Knowledge of migration tools such as Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), AzCopy/Storage migration patterns, and data movement utilities.
• Proficiency in scripting for assessment automation and evidence capture using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python.
• Experience with application and integration analysis tooling: Log Analytics / KQL for telemetry-led discovery.
• Experience with backlog and documentation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Boards/Jira, Confluence/SharePoint) for assessment artifacts and migration tracking.
• Prior work experience in the client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Azure Arc.
• Familiarity with network flow/dependency tooling.
• Experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Key Vault, and VMs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead application discovery and assessment workshops with application owners to capture architecture, NFRs (availability, performance, DR), SLAs, data classification, and operational constraints.
• Assess existing Azure resources/services used by applications and translate findings into migration readiness, dependency maps, and migration backlog items.
• Define recommended migration approach per workload, including target architecture options, risks, assumptions, and effort estimates to support wave planning.
• Produce assessment reports, target diagrams, dependency views, and decision logs; communicate risks and recommendations to the Azure Migration Architect and stakeholders.
