Pay Range: $70/hr - $80/hr

 

Day-to-Day:

  • Support aircraft retrofit and modification programs with emphasis on avionics systems
  • Act as a technical interface between Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, vendors, and MRO partners
  • Support execution of aircraft transitions, inductions, and modification events
  • Track and resolve engineering issues, retrofit risks, and non-conformances
  • Review engineering drawings, documentation, work instructions, and change impacts
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders
  • Support aircraft return-to-service planning following modification events
  • Provide clear program status and risk visibility to leadership

Must-Haves:

  • Avionics background (Avionics Engineer, Avionics Project Engineer, or similar)
  • Experience supporting aircraft retrofits, modifications, or heavy maintenance events
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems integration and avionics changes
  • Experience in an airline, OEM, or MRO environment
  • Ability to bridge engineering execution with program coordination
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams

Plusses:

  • Experience supporting narrowbody aircraft
  • Direct OEM experience
  • Exposure to non-compliance tracking, corrective actions, or engineering issue management
  • Familiarity with FAA compliance processes related to aircraft mods (DERs, approvals, etc.)
  • Previous Project Engineer experience supporting avionics modification programs
