Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive organization, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician. This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles bumper to bumper, performing advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and supporting quality and reliability evaluations. The ideal candidate brings strong dealership-based diagnostic experience and a hands-on background across major vehicle systems.
Job Duties
- Diagnose and repair vehicles bumper to bumper across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Inspect, test, and repair electrical and electronic components using diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace transmissions, fuel system components, cooling systems, and air conditioning systems
- Perform test drives to verify vehicle performance and confirm completed repairs
- Complete software updates and support vehicle reprogramming activities where applicable
- Conduct emissions inspections, safety checks, and other state-regulated vehicle examinations
- Document repair work, audit findings, and quality concerns with accurate and legible paperwork
- Assist with warranty repairs, quality investigations, teardowns, and reliability audits as directed by management
Skills & Experience
Required
- 5+ years of automotive repair experience in an OEM dealership environment
- Dealership experience is required
- Strong diagnostic experience across mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
- Experience performing bumper-to-bumper vehicle repairs
- Knowledge of transmissions, fuel systems, engine cooling systems, and HVAC components
- Ability to perform vehicle software updates and use diagnostic scan tools and testing equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license

- ASE Certifictions
- Completion of a recognized automotive training program
- Experience supporting vehicle quality investigations, teardowns, or warranty repair work
- Background in emissions testing, safety inspections, and regulated vehicle examinations
- Experience documenting and reporting quality or reliability audit findings
- Familiarity with OEM service procedures and dealership repair workflows
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance in addition to advanced repair work
