Location: Union City, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $60K Base + Commissions
Earning Potential: $100K – $120K+ (No Cap)
Position Summary
Promotive is hiring a high-performing Automotive Service Advisor for a well-established, family-owned automotive repair shop in Union City, CA. This is a confidential opportunity to join a respected independent shop with a long-standing reputation for quality work and strong customer relationships.
We’re looking for a sales-driven Service Advisor who can confidently present repair recommendations, build trust with customers, and maximize repair opportunities. If you’re competitive, motivated by commission, and enjoy turning great service into strong earnings, this position offers excellent income potential with no cap on commissions.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and build relationships while identifying vehicle service needs
Present maintenance and repair recommendations clearly and professionally
Prepare accurate repair estimates and explain services to customers
Maximize repair opportunities and increase repair order revenue
Communicate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and efficient workflow
Maintain detailed repair orders and service records using the shop management system
Provide consistent updates to customers regarding vehicle status and timelines
Deliver a professional, customer-first service experience from check-in to vehicle delivery
Qualifications
3+ years experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer preferred
Proven sales performance and ability to increase repair order revenue
Experience in an independent automotive repair shop environment strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of automotive services and repair processes
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Highly motivated and competitive personality with a focus on maximizing earnings
Comfortable working within a commission-based compensation structure
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000
Commission$!
On-Target Earnings: $100K – $120K+ annually
No cap on commissions
$300/month health reimbursement (California marketplace)
