Automotive Detailer/Car Detailer

Position Overview

The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and maintaining the appearance of vehicles in the dealership inventory and customer-owned vehicles. This role ensures all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards before delivery or display. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors.

• Clean and shampoo vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, and windows.

• Vacuum and remove debris from vehicles.

• Apply protective finishes to exterior and interior surfaces.

• Clean engine compartments when required.

• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic damage and report findings to management.

• Remove stickers, decals, and residue from vehicles.

• Ensure new and used vehicles are lot-ready and showroom-ready.

• Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of detailing area and equipment.

• Safely operate cleaning tools such as buffers, steamers, pressure washers, and vacuums.

• Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment.

• Move vehicles around the lot as needed.

• Snow removal when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous auto detailing experience preferred but not required (training may be provided).

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements
