Our client, a marine motorsports manufacturer, is seeking an Automation Technician to join their team. As an Automation Technician, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in installation, maintaining and integrating PLC-based control systems, building programs for operating CNC equipment and building/creating machine maintenance programs.  This position is located in the Milwaukee, WI market and strongest consideration will be given to candidates within a local commute to the job site.  Visa candidates will not be considered and for the first 3-4 months in the role, candidates can expect to enhance their earnings with available overtime hours to be worked.

Pay: $40-$45/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, install, and maintain manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and automated systems.
 
  • Program, operate, and maintain CNC routers, press brakes, and laser sheet cutting equipment.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Install and maintain PLC-based control systems, industrial sensors, and machine wiring
 
  • Assist in building and integrating custom automated and manual manufacturing fixtures.

Requirements  
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
 
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
 
  • Aluminum MIG/TIG welding experience is a plus.
