Automation Technician

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED. Trade School or college degree perferred.
- Good written, verbal, math, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Able to work in relatively warm areas and work flexible schedules.
- Understands Quality, Environmental and Safety Policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate and set up CNC machining centers.
- Assists in the design and implementation of new automation cells.
- Maintains and troubleshoots all automation cells in the CNC, Machining, and Assembly areas.
- Collaborates with shift supervisors to provide coverage for all automation cells.
- Review all existing automation cells on a periodic basis looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operator support.
- Document all automation job processes.
- Assists with machine setups.
- Provides support to machine operators.
- Assists with job process adjustments.
- Develop & maintain shop floor support material, e.g. job packets and machining reference manual.
