Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, is seeking an Automation Specialist to join their team. As an Automation Specialist, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations supporting engineering and automation teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Support manufacturing process control systems to ensure high success rates and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Analyze operational process issues and recommend effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Modify control logic and install electrical and control systems to improve performance and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with production personnel to coordinate activities and reduce equipment downtime.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years, or a Bachelor's degree with no experience required.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADAs, Historians, and SQL Server.
- Experience troubleshooting issues to root cause and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and training skills.
- Knowledge of shop safety practices, including handling potentially dangerous equipment.
