Automation Design Engineer
Manage, quote, design, and coordinate all automation projects in the company as well as manage the automation department, set priorities, and help resolve any problems or issues.
Position Functions:
- Quote/Design new company built automation
- Project Manager for Automation build projects.
- Is involved in all new Engineering Automation projects to determine and recommend all sensing and automation needs.
- Interfaces with outside venders and automation suppliers to get quotes and manage outside purchases of automation equipment.
- Manage Automation team, set priorities and oversee projects.
- Research and purchase any new systems, equipment, hardware, software, components, etc
- Hands on programming, wiring, troubleshooting, building, integrating, etc
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
Working knowledge of computer systems, design software, mechanical systems, networking, hardware, software, PLC’s, drives, vision systems, electrical and pneumatic systems, robots, stamping, molding, presses, molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation equipment, sensors, test equipment, etc.
