Qualifications and responsibilities for this Automation/Controls Engineer position include:
- Strong proficiency in Structured Text programming; develop, implement, and test code for Red Lion control systems and HMIs
- Ability to transfer experience from other programming languages; perform on-hardware testing to ensure product reliability
- Demonstrated experience designing fault-tolerant and fail-safe control systems; manage faults, edge cases, and ensure safe operation
- Strong knowledge of industrial control networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS-232, RS-485); troubleshoot and resolve field equipment failures
- Ability to create novel, robust technical solutions; identify and mitigate technical risks during development and testing
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience); participate in project scoping and core functionality design
- Strong communication skills and ability to complete technical projects; produce documentation and assist or train shop and field personnel
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and adapt to changing priorities; support deployment and implement product improvements
Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
