Audit Manager

Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

· 4–6 years of public accounting experience auditing nonprofit organizations and governmental entities.

· Strong understanding of nonprofit and governmental accounting and auditing standards.

· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

· Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office applications

· CPA license or active CPA candidate (Preferred)

· Experience with Single Audits and Uniform Guidance (Preferred)

· Experience leading portions of audit engagements (Preferred)

Responsibilities

· Plan, perform, and complete audits of nonprofit organizations and governmental entities in accordance with GAAS, Yellow Book, and Uniform Guidance requirements.

· Take ownership of assigned audit areas, from planning through completion, while coordinating effectively with engagement teams.

· Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and related reports with attention to accuracy and efficiency.

· Identify audit issues and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to managers, partners, and clients.

· Balance independent work with collaboration to ensure engagements are completed on time and within scope.

· Build and maintain positive client relationships through professional, responsive communication.

· Assist with mentoring and supporting junior staff as needed.

· Stay current on accounting and auditing standards affecting nonprofit and governmental entities.
