Our client is currently seeking an experienced Florida Probate/Guardianship/Estate Planning Attorney to join their thriving practice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in handling complex probate, guardianship, and estate planning cases, with a deep understanding of Florida law and procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals and make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients.
Salary: $220,000-$230,000
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of probate, guardianship, and estate planning matters from inception to resolution.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and asset protection.
- Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, probate petitions, guardianship petitions, and related pleadings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations, advocating effectively on their behalf.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver comprehensive, client-centered service that exceeds expectations.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, calendars, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance with court requirements.
- Efficiently manage your time to maximize billable hours while maintaining the quality of work.
Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in the State of Florida, with a solid understanding of Florida probate, guardianship, and estate planning statutes and procedures.
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience managing probate, guardianship, and estate planning matters from intake through resolution.
- Demonstrated expertise drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, including wills, trusts, probate petitions, guardianship pleadings, and related filings.
- Strong litigation and courtroom skills, with experience representing clients in hearings, mediations, and other probate-related proceedings.
- Exceptional legal research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to develop sound legal strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly, manage sensitive situations, and build strong client relationships.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, capable of managing deadlines, maintaining accurate case files, and efficiently balancing workload to meet billable hour expectations.
