As an AT&T Customer Experience Specialist, you work face-to-face with residents, guiding them through AT&T cell phone options in plain language. Our disciplined training for the AT&T Customer Experience Specialist covers how to explain plans, handle upgrades, and complete activations smoothly.


Key Responsibilities of the AT&T Customer Experience Specialist

  • Meet residents in person to understand their mobile needs and recommend AT&T 5G plans and smartphones that improve their day‑to‑day experience.
  • Provide friendly guidance on device options, helping customers choose the right phone without pressure or technical confusion.
  • Support households through eligibility reviews, explaining assistance programs clearly and respectfully.
  • Handle enrollments and updates with accuracy, ensuring every customer receives the right plan and a smooth sales process.
  • Assist with same‑day phone activation, offering step‑by‑step support so customers feel comfortable with their new device.
  • Strengthen community relationships by offering approachable follow‑up and helping families stay connected long after the sale.

Minimum Qualifications of the AT&T Customer Experience Specialist

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Experience in sales or retail is a plus. 
  • Comfortable helping residents choose phones and explaining features in plain terms.
  • Someone who stays ahead of new device releases and digital‑equity updates.
  • Bilingual skills are a major plus for serving San Diego’s multilingual households.
