Basic Function

Facilitates the safe, reliable and environmentally sound operation of the Puget Sound Refinery through Assurance activities. Uses independent judgement and discretion to identify, prioritize and schedule activities to understand both the effectiveness of design and use of procedures, work processes, and critical activities at the site. Works with those responsible to develop improvement plans.

Job Duties

Responsible for helping the organization achieve improvements by monitoring and maintaining effective, consistent, and sustainable work processes and tools by influencing the individuals responsible for them. This includes performing regular health checks (formal/informal), field observations, and reviews, and provide constructive feedback and performance highlights to the Process Performer, Shift Team, Production Team, and the Site as a whole as appropriate. Focus areas include but are not limited to Plant Standing Instructions, Work Processes, and OEMS implementation.
Supporting formal 3rdparty or corporate assurance activities
Works with corporate resources to develop PowerBI dashboards to provide visibility on critical activities/processes
Change Leader for some pilots and initiatives within the operating department as well as lead for some targeted across site activities regarding Operations, HSSE, Maintenance, Projects or HR.
Focal point for the following Conduct of Operations Principles. Expectation is that 25% of time is spent on office time supporting this and 25% field engagement with operations

Experience

A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience required in refinery manufacturing, operations, health/safety assignments or equivalent is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience supporting a refinery with roles in Operations and a technical, safety or investigation role.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.

Work Conditions

Office and Refinery/Industrial environment based with up to 5% travel by land and air is required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors, and driver based environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all weather, temperatures, and varying road conditions. Subject to occasional weekend and after hour call-outs, and working in confined spaces.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.

This position has a salary minimum of$115,300.00and maximum of $200,700.00.
