Asst Nurse Manager

Provides clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level.

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred. 
• Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, required. 2+ years Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager experience required.  Float pool experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units., required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications. 
• Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.

The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Professional Nursing Resource Team (PNRT) Float Pool in the Coastal Region supports daily clinical operations, staffing coordination, and team member development across multiple units and facilities. This role provides leadership and oversight for Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Safety Attendants, Tele-Sitter Monitor Technicians, and the Central Staffing Office, ensuring effective coordination of resources to maintain staffing plans across Coastal Region hospital facilities. The Assistant Nurse Manager partners with the Nurse Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and flexible staffing to meet patient care needs, while maintaining high standards of quality, patient safety, and team engagement. This role also supports scheduling, performance management, and serves as a key liaison between staff and leadership to promote a positive work environment and operational excellence.
