Associate (Alkali Partners LLC) (Tigard, OR)
Mentorship and training (20%): Mentor Analyst and Co-Op team members on day-to-day deal tasks; Assist the Director with delegating assignments and reviewing deliverables for quality, accuracy, and consistency; and Participate in weekly team check-ins to prioritize upcoming deadlines and redistribute workload. Financial Review (20%): Analyze client P&Ls, balance sheets, cash-flow projections and operating models to identify value drivers and key risks; Build sensitivity analyses to test upside/downside scenarios under varying market assumptions; and Present findings and strategic recommendations to MDs for transaction structuring. Marketing (10%): Draft Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), Teasers, and other investor-facing materials, incorporating industry benchmarks and buyer comps; Design pitch decks with executive summaries, transaction rationale, and supporting charts; and Coordinate with the design team and external vendors to finalize polished deliverables. Pitching New Business (10%): Identify and qualify potential new-client targets, leveraging industry contacts and market research; Craft outreach messages and lead introductory calls to generate inbound interest; and Track responses and follow up with tailored materials to advance conversations. Execution – Buyer Management (20%): Drive outreach to target acquirers: schedule calls, field questions, manage bid timelines; Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between buyer teams and the internal deal team; and Document buyer feedback and adjust engagement strategy accordingly. Pipeline Generation (8%): Expand the buyer universe by researching new strategic and financial prospects; and Update and maintain prospect lists and CRM entries to ensure data hygiene. Execution – Diligence (9%): Oversee virtual data-room setup: tag documents, manage Q&A portal, enforce access controls; and Track diligence requests and coordinate timely responses to prospective buyers.  Negotiation (3%): Support term-sheet negotiations by summarizing counterparty positions and concessions; and Draft internal summaries of key negotiation points for senior review. SIE and Series 63 & 79 Certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire.  The following skills and experience are required in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience preparing marketing and transaction materials, client presentations, research reports, and providing advice on mergers and acquisitions to clients and stakeholders in the financial technology and investment banking industries; Experience with financial statement analysis and modeling, due diligence reports; Experience building a prospect base and conducting outreach using industry databases Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and ThompsonOne; Experience with email sequence building and usage using sales enablement platforms such as Outreach and Apollo.ai; and Experience using and training on Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Tableau for financial statement analysis, to prepare marketing and transaction materials, and produce pitches and develop research reports. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Science or a related field, and at least one year of experience as an Analyst or a related occupation. Nominal domestic travel may be required to clients' headquarters. Fully remote: Option to work from home is available. Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/year.
