Job Duties:

 

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is hiring a(n) Associate (ref. Code R261250 in Seattle, WA).

 

Duties: Publish index risk information through Aladdin investment platform and ensure high quality data is delivered in a timely
manner for investment management decisions. Investigate and resolve complex and intricate issues and perform adhoc
analysis of large data sets while meeting tight deadlines. Understand risk analytics of fixed income, equity and
alternatives products to help our clients and portfolio managers interpret portfolio exposures, strategy, risk and
returns. Provide high quality client service externally and internally. Address inquiries and resolve problems from
clients and internal BlackRock partners. Initiate and drive Index platform improvements to support new business
needs, minimize risk, and enhance quality. Identify and challenge nonstandard/ exception-based processes to
facilitate automation within our financial reporting process. .

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, and 12 months of experience in job offered, or in Business, Accounting, Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related role.  ALT. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, and 36 months of experience in job offered, or in Business, Accounting, Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related role. . Must have one year of experience in the following skills:
Performing financial market analysis of stocks, fixed income instruments, securitized products, alternative investments and derivatives;
Implementing tactical solutions in order to improve implementation and demo processes;
Utilizing Perl, Python, SQL, and Unix;
Utilizing financial knowledge including risk analytics related to fixed income, equity and alternatives products and financial risk metrics;
Working with index data and index related products, including index funds, index methodologies, index reconstitutions, and index specific terminology.
