ABOUT OUR CLIENT
- Our client is a well-established, growth-oriented retailer with a large multi-location store footprint and a highly transactional, customer-focused environment.
- The organization is investing in modernizing and stabilizing its in-store technology, especially point-of-sale (POS) and network infrastructure, to support reliable operations and an excellent customer experience.
- This role sits within the IT Department and partners closely with store operations, IT leadership, and technical teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable technology across all locations.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
- Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000
- PTO: 3 weeks + Personal Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ASSOCIATE IT DIRECTOR
- Manage daily operations of POS and network infrastructure across store and corporate environments
- Serve as primary backup to IT Director, maintaining awareness of major projects and departmental priorities
- Lead POS operations, ensuring hardware and software are current, functional, and properly maintained
- Coordinate support ticket resolution with clear communication to store leadership
- Monitor network reliability and performance in collaboration with network administration
- Enforce documentation and change-control processes for POS and network systems
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration and unified problem-solving
- Act as technical lead for assigned store group, providing primary technical support
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE ASSOCIATE IT DIRECTOR
- Experience in an IT leadership or senior technical operations role
- Hands-on experience working with network infrastructure (WAN/LAN, connectivity, uptime monitoring, troubleshooting) and partnering with network administration to resolve performance issues
- Strong track record of collaborating across departments (IT, store operations, corporate functions) to align priorities, communicate changes, and resolve issues in a unified way.
- Background providing direct technical support to field or store locations, including on-site visits
- Commitment to documentation and process, including maintaining procedures, vendor contacts, configuration standards, and backup coverage plans.
