Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic attorney to be the Associate General Counsel in their legal department. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, thriving environment. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of matters, including litigation management, contract negotiation, and compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, possess excellent negotiation skills, and have the ability to work independently, yet collaboratively, within a team-oriented environment.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and support to management and operational teams on a wide range of legal issues including litigation management, contract law, corporate law, employment law, and regulatory matters.
2. Manage all aspects of litigation including coordinating with outside counsel, internal teams, and external parties.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements related to construction projects.
4. Advise on regulatory compliance matters and ensure the company's policies and procedures align with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with the legal team and other departments to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
6. Assist with the development and implementation of legal training for the company's employees.
7. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company's operations and advise leadership accordingly.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Legal experience, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.
4. Proven experience in litigation management.
5. Strong knowledge of construction law and regulations, contract law, and corporate law.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
7. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
10. Willingness to travel as needed to support the company's operations and legal needs.
