Big Spaceship is seeking an Associate Creative Director team with big brand experience who can bring strategic thinking, cultural fluency, and high craft to integrated campaigns on one of our largest accounts.

This role requires a well-rounded book, strong scriptwriting ability, and deep social expertise. The ideal team is resilient and autonomous, comfortable leading mid- and lower-funnel campaigns while contributing to larger brand platform initiatives.

We run lean, senior teams. This is a hands-on role — not one where you oversee layers of junior creatives. We’re looking for partners who are makers as well as leaders: concepting, writing, crafting, building, and shaping the work directly while guiding it through production.

Both partners must be confident, client-facing leaders with significant production experience, including being on set. Heavy video and film experience is essential.

Roles + Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated, 360 campaigns with a strong emphasis on social, video, and film
  • Lead mid- and lower-funnel creative initiatives with autonomy and accountability
  • Contribute to larger brand-building campaigns and high-visibility launches
  • Write compelling scripts and oversee storytelling across formats
  • Concept, craft, and build work hands-on within lean senior teams
  • Integrate AI tools and generative workflows into creative development and production
  • Set and uphold high creative standards across all deliverables
  • Present work confidently to clients and senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver strategically sound, culturally relevant creative
  • Oversee production from concept through post, including on-set creative leadership
  • Stay current on social trends, platform behaviors, and emerging technologies to ensure work is culturally resonant

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience at an advertising agency
  • Big brand experience on high-visibility campaigns
  • Well-versed in social with demonstrated social-first thinking
  • Strong scriptwriting skills and a well-rounded portfolio across mediums
  • Significant video and film experience with heavy production exposure
  • Proven experience being on set and leading creative through production
  • Comfortable integrating AI and generative tools into creative processes and workflows
  • Confident, client-facing presence with excellent presentation skills
  • Resilient, self-directed, and comfortable working with autonomy in lean senior teams

Benefits

The salary band for this role is $135,000 - $170,000. Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on several factors including their qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at Big Spaceship within the same role to maintain equity.
