Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation cases.
2. Conduct legal research and gather evidence for lawsuits, ensuring all relevant facts are considered in legal decisions.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
4. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
5. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
6. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
7. Supervise legal assistants and paralegals, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
8. Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments in law and in the legal industry.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, including civil litigation.
4. Demonstrated skills in legal research and the preparation of legal documents.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
