A bit about us:
Our client has an active search for an experienced Intellectual Property associate to join their expanding IP practice. This is an excellent opportunity with a well-established business law firm offering a collaborative platform and exposure to sophisticated patent litigation across technology-driven industries.
Interested candidates should have 2+ years of patent litigation experience at a law firm or equivalent setting, along with a technical background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable work experience in technology. You'll handle all aspects of patent litigation—from pre-suit investigations through trial preparation—including discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert reports, and trial prep.
The incoming associate will work directly with partners and clients across a range of technology sectors, supporting IP counseling and enforcement strategies. You'll collaborate with cross-practice teams on complex commercial and technology matters, bringing both legal expertise and technical fluency to the table.
Our ideal candidate has strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear legal arguments. USPTO registration is a plus but not required. This is a full-time role with excellent compensation, firm-sponsored healthcare benefits, and flexible work arrangements including hybrid and partial remote options. The firm is open to candidates outside the New York area. Admission to at least one U.S. state bar is required.
