How you'll make an impact in this role:

 

  • Instructional Support & Adaptation: Assist in planning and implementing daily activities that align with student abilities, interests, and individual educational plans.
  • Inclusion & Specialized Curriculum: Supports chool inclusion efforts and assist students in alternate school settings.
  • Skill Enhancement: Identify and create targeted opportunities to boost student skills, specifically encouraging independence in communication and social-emotional growth.
  • Professional Leadership & Motivation: Display consistent enthusiasm and energy to maintain student motivation, cooperation, and active participation.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency and 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:

*At least one year of experience working in a preschool, Head Start, or other educational setting with young children is required.
*Experience working with special needs children 
*Must be at least 19 years old, hold at minimum a high school diploma plus Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA)

*College credit in early childhood education 
*Bilingual English/Spanish a PLUS
