Assistant Tax Director

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend tax strategies and solutions to clients supporting business goals and objectives
  • Meet with clients and prepare complex tax returns
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns and work output
  • Manage staff workload
  • Work with business owners and other clients to advise on tax planning and business issues
  • Manage, direct, oversee and challenge client engagement teams
  • Provide tax technical training to staff

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting
  • CPA/EA is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in external tax accounting
  • Proficiency in technical writing and research
  • Ability to work quickly and independently in a busy and demanding environment
  • Experience preparing/reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Quick books, and tax software programs
  • Client service orientated
