This is an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager with 2-5 years of experience to support multiple life science and laboratory projects across Greater Boston. Our client is a Cambridge-based OPM firm that has grown from 3 employees to 50+ over the past 14 years. They support tenant interiors, life sciences, multifamily, assisted living, and real estate development projects, competing with firms like CSL and Daedalus. Their portfolio includes work with top institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Sanofi, Akamai, Dartmouth College, and TripAdvisor. Description
- Support Project Managers across active and upcoming laboratory and life science projects
- Assist with preconstruction planning, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and consultant coordination
- Manage documentation, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and project logs
- Review drawings, track progress, and support design and engineering coordination
- Utilize Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam, and internal systems to maintain accurate project information
- Support site meetings, owner/architect communications, and stakeholder correspondence
- Help drive project milestones from design through turnover
- Maintain exceptional organization, follow-through, and client communication

Profile
A successful Assistant Project Manager - Life Science should have:
- 2-5 years of experience with a GC or CM (lab experience strongly preferred)
- Background from firms doing significant technical or life science work is a plus
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- (Flexible - strong tenure and soft skills matter most)
- Proficient in Procore, MS Office, and Bluebeam
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Must be commutable to Cambridge, MA
Job Offer
- Base salary: $85,000-$100,000
- Annual bonus (typically ~10%)
