We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Commercial Construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial construction, with a particular focus on climate-controlled, ground up construction, industrial, self-storage, and concrete projects. Proficiency in Procore is a must. This is a permanent position with ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager, your primary duties will include:
1. Assisting the Project Manager in planning, managing, and executing commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Coordinating and supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
3. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
4. Utilizing Procore software for project management tasks including scheduling, cost control, and communication.
5. Direct involvement in ground up construction, industrial projects, self-storage facilities, and concrete works.
6. Managing project documentation and ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately recorded and reported.
7. Identifying potential issues or delays and proposing effective solutions to mitigate risks.
8. Facilitating regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
9. Ensuring all construction projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
10. Promoting a positive and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, with a focus on climate-controlled, ground up construction, industrial, self-storage, and concrete projects.
2. Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in using Procore or similar project management software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
5. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certifications in Project Management, Health and Safety, or related areas would be an advantage.
10. The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
