The Department of Pediatrics, at the Univ of IL College of Medicine Peoria, located in a mid-sized metro area, is seeking full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics/Physician Surgeon to assist the department with the following responsibilities:
Under direction and supervision, assist the department by providing full-time clinical patient care in the field of Pediatric Ophthalmology to a diverse patient population, including the medically underserved, in the hospital and out patient clinic settings. Teach, train, and advise medical students, residents and fellows in the field of Pediatric Ophthalmology. Conduct medical science research and publish scientific research findings. Perform University service and administrative duties as assigned. This position minimally requires a Medical Degree (MD) or its foreign equivalent, 3 years of Ophthalmology Residency and 1 year of Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship training, as well as a valid IL medical license or eligibility for an IL medical license & board certification in Pediatric Ophthalmology. The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $290,000.
