Assistant Pre-School Teacher

Job description:

Lakota Family YMCA Crayon Club is looking for great people to join our loving team in our Child Care Department working with 3-to-5-year old's. We are looking for Assistant Teachers who must be able to administer and discharge her/his responsibilities in accordance with the policies, goals and established by the State Of Ohio and The Lakota Family YMCA.

Job Responsibilities:

· Help maintain a safe and fun environment.

· Help teachers when needed.

· Interact with children.

· Help with curriculum

· Help with lunch and snack time

· Help with cleaning

· Maintaining appropriate staff to child ratios as specified by the State

· Is alert at all times

· Take training courses to be in compliance with the State.

· Attends YMCA and Family functions that promotes Child Care Programs

Job Qualifications:

· Must pass a background check

· High School Diploma/ GED

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must be Reliable, Flexible, Loving, Trustworthy, Energetic, Responsible, plans in advance and has good work habits.

· Can work as a team

· CDA is a plus

Experience: Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Education: High School or Equivalent (Required)

Will take High Schoolers 16-17 years of age with a work permit

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

· Monday - Friday

· 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
