As an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Initio Capital, you will assist senior portfolio managers in managing client portfolios, executing investment strategies, and optimizing asset allocation. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio management support: Work closely with senior portfolio managers to execute investment strategies, optimize asset allocation, and achieve client financial goals.
Market research & analysis: Perform extensive research on financial markets, securities, economic conditions, and investment opportunities to support decision-making.
Performance tracking: Monitor and report on portfolio performance, adjusting strategies based on performance, market shifts, and client objectives.
Risk management: Assist in managing and identifying risk across portfolios, ensuring alignment with clients' risk profiles and investment guidelines.
Financial modeling & reporting: Build and maintain financial models, helping to generate reports and presentations for senior management and clients.
Client communications & presentations: Prepare investment reports, presentations, and updates for clients, summarizing portfolio performance, market outlook, and investment strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Support collaboration between internal research teams, senior managers, and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive investment strategies.
Continuous learning: Stay up-to-date with financial news, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance investment strategies and portfolio performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
CFA Level I or II (preferred or in progress)
2-4 years of experience in portfolio management, asset management, or related fields
Proficiency in financial analysis, with strong skills in Excel, financial modeling, and performance metrics
Experience with investment software and tools for asset allocation, risk management, and performance tracking
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to clients and senior leadership
Team player with a collaborative mindset, able to contribute to cross-functional teams and work effectively in a collective environment
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing investment opportunities and risks
Interest in global markets, asset classes, and emerging investment trends
