JSG is hiring a Assistant Mill Operations Manager in Little Falls, NY.
Skills:
- Assist the Mill Manager in overseeing daily mill operations to ensure safe, efficient production.
- Coordinate production priorities and shift activities to meet production and customer requirements.
- Monitor paper machine performance, troubleshoot process issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in planning production schedules, machine trials, and grade changes.
- Serve as a point of contact for operations during off-hours or call-ins as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to hourly operators and shift supervisors.
- Assist with workforce scheduling, overtime coordination, and operational staffing needs.
- Support training initiatives for production employees related to safety, quality, and operations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelors Degree in Paper Science/Engineering, Chemistry or related field
- 5+ years of experience in paper manufacturing or industrial process operations
- Strong understanding of papermaking processes and machine operations
- Experience with papermaking chemistry, machine clothing, and process controls
- Experience with production data systems or process monitoring tools
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
