Waves Express Car Wash is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in leading from the front.

This is not a desk job and not an entry-level role. The right candidate is someone who wants ownership, enjoys developing people, and is motivated by performance, accountability, and growth.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in driving site performance, elevating customer experience, and developing a strong frontline team. You will be hands-on daily—coaching employees, interacting with customers, and ensuring the site operates at a high standard.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading and developing frontline team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service

• Owning the customer experience, resolving issues quickly and creating “wow” moments

• Driving revenue growth, including Wash Club membership sales and operational efficiency

• Supporting site financial performance, including labor control and inventory management

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operation (tunnel, vacuums, equipment, chemicals)

• Opening and closing the site, ensuring procedures and cash handling are executed accurately

• Loading vehicles safely and efficiently into the tunnel

• Coaching team members on sales, safety, and performance expectations

• Assisting with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

• Upholding company standards, policies, and culture at all times

What We're Looking For

• A self-motivated leader who takes initiative without being asked

• Someone who is comfortable being accountable for results, not just tasks

• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach, motivate, and correct performance

• Willingness to work rotating weekends and flexible schedules

• Ability to travel to any of our Upstate locations as needed

• Previous car wash or related management experience preferred

  • Qualified candidates without direct experience may be considered for our Manager-in-Training program
