Responsibilities:

Related Rentals is hiring an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead operations at one of our premier residential communities. As AGM, you’ll be the go-to person for residents, support day-to-day site operations, and work closely with the General Manager and property team. From service requests to financial tracking and community events, your role is all about creating a welcoming and well-run environment—and ensuring we deliver on our brand promise: “Expect More at Home.”

What You’ll Do:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS AN ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

  • Property Oversight: Ensure that the residential community maintains the highest standards of excellence. Oversee our Concierge team, service standards, and safety protocols, to ensure a well-maintained and secure environment for residents. Assists General Manager with indirect oversight of the Management Office team and Maintenance team.
  • Collaborative Leading: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth, innovation, and teamwork. Provide guidance and support, ensuring everyone is aligned with the vision of delivering exceptional resident service. 
  • Resident Interface: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, actively listening to their needs and concerns. Serve as a trusted point of contact, promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and anticipating their needs to enhance their living experience. 
  • Customer Service: Makes introductory calls to all future residents prior to move-in and initiates face-to-face meeting with new residents to assure quality control and confirm satisfaction with service that was provided.  
  • Communication: Ensure efficient and courteous response to all resident requests. Handles all resident complaints expeditiously, diplomatically and professionally. Provides resolution to resident problems and on-going resident relations. 
  • Compliance: Maintains accurate files for all site administration, including: lease files, operational procedure files, work-order files, etc. Prepares and processes appropriate written communications, i.e., memos, letters, insurance incident reports, etc.
  • Financials: Collects and posts all resident rent payments and manages the accounts receivable process. Submits, reviews, and approves purchase orders as well as maintaining good relationships with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications:

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • You have 1-3 years prior experience as an Assistant Property Manager or Assistant General Manager and 5 total years of experience in the multifamily industry.  
  • You are a results-oriented leader who demonstrates genuine care and concern for your team, vendors, and residents.  
  • You are committed to the mission of exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service to strengthen real estate value. 
  • You are a technology enthusiast proficient in leveraging technology tools and platforms including Microsoft Office, calendar management, our internal applicant database software (Yardi) and social media seamlessly. 
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with ease among our team, residents and vendors. 
  • You have the ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. 
  • You bring it every day possessing a readiness to execute on whatever task is thrown your way with a combination of hard work, grit, and perseverance.
