Once known as The Farnsworth House, the restaurant underwent a major renovation in 2017 under the leadership of local legends Michael Scharibone and Scott O'Brien. Today, Old Town Pub is a go-to spot for both fine and casual dining, featuring an impressive 50-tap draft system with rotating craft beers, a creative cocktail menu, and deliciously crafted dishes. WHAT YOUR DAY AS OUR ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER *ACTUALLY* LOOKS LIKE
- Working with the restaurant manager to ensure customer satisfaction, drive revenue, and maintain high food quality standards
- Supporting daily operations by creating staff schedules, proactively ordering supplies, and stepping in as needed to resolve customer concerns
- Training new hires and helping the food service team improve their skills
- Tracking costs and revenue and handling basic financial functions
- Ensuring all team members follow food health and safety standards and meet our quality expectations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of related restaurant management experience
- Food service experience
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and basic financial functions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to team development and customer satisfaction
