Position Summary

Staybridge Suites is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Head Housekeeper to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. This leadership role assists in supervising staff, ensuring brand cleanliness standards are met, and maintaining a welcoming extended-stay environment for our guests.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, service-driven, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Support

• Assist the Head Housekeeper in supervising housekeeping and laundry staff

• Lead daily stand-up meetings and assign room boards

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and brand compliance

• Train new team members on brand standards and cleaning procedures

• Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance when necessary

Quality & Standards

• Ensure all guest suites meet Staybridge Suites cleanliness and presentation standards

• Monitor deep-clean rotation schedule for extended-stay rooms

• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally

• Support service recovery efforts when needed

Operations

• Assist with inventory control and ordering of housekeeping supplies

• Help manage linen par levels and laundry operations

• Maintain accurate daily reports and inspection logs

• Coordinate with Maintenance on room issues and work orders

• Step in to clean rooms as business levels require

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure OSHA and safety standards are followed

• Maintain chemical safety and proper storage procedures

• Promote a culture of cleanliness, accountability, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required (extended-stay experience preferred)

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 30 lbs, and push carts
