Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) — Nurse Educator / Staff Development (Confidential)

Full-Time | Manhattan, NY

A well-established skilled nursing facility in Manhattan, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): to join its leadership team. This role focuses on clinical education, regulatory compliance, staff competency development, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead clinical education and training programs in compliance with NYSDOH and facility standards
• Assess and enhance staff competencies through coaching, mentoring, audits, and evaluations
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and evidence-based practices
• Oversee quality assurance for nursing staff and clinical practices
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities
• Collaborate with leadership to improve resident care outcomes
• Direct new staff orientation and onboarding programs
• Conduct ongoing audits and assessments to maintain nursing excellence
• Develop and monitor staff education on infection control, body mechanics, emergency preparedness, OSHA, and related topics
• Maintain training records, track program outcomes, and stay current with professional standards

Requirements:
• Current New York State RN license in good standing
• BSN required; MSN or related graduate degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nurse Educator or in clinical staff development (long-term care preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective education programs
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• CPR certification required (Instructor certification preferred)

Compensation:
• $140,000 annually
