Assistant Controller (Manufacturing)

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to support financial operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening financial controls, and providing meaningful reporting and analysis to support business decisions.

Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams, you will help manage day-to-day accounting operations, improve financial processes, and support planning and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards

• Analyze financial data and provide management reporting and insights

• Assist in developing and maintaining financial control systems and internal controls

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes

• Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities

• Coordinate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial information

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, and processes

• Participate in cross-functional meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Help develop and maintain documentation, policies, and financial procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business

• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)

• 5+ years of post-designation accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

• Experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing environments is an asset

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
