Assistant Controller
Overview
The Assistant Controller oversees financial accounting and reporting and leads a team of accounting professionals. This role ensures accurate, timely financial information and partners across the organization to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including monthly close, financial statements, variance analysis, cash forecasting, AR/AP, sales commissions, reconciliations, and consolidations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team.
- Serve as the primary accounting contact in the Controller’s absence.
- Provide accurate financial insights and reporting for Executive Leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and process improvements.
- Support annual audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve issues and strengthen accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred.
- CPA or CMA required.
- 7+ years of GAAP accounting experience, including team leadership.
- Experience with Sage Intacct required (or similar ERP super‑user).
- Strong Excel skills and ability to design and implement internal controls.
