Prepare consolidated financial statements for external stakeholders, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and government filings; oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures, ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate financial reporting for internal management; standardize processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards during year-end closings; drive business process automation and develop finance policies to streamline financial closing processes and enhance internal controls; collaborate with the IT department to maintain accurate financial records and resolve any discrepancies; assist with indirect tax filings, government census reports, and local and sales tax audits; address federal and state notices as needed; prepare cash flow forecasts, manage borrowing needs, and determine available funds for investment; utilize hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to currency fluctuations and interest rates affecting the company’s cash flows and borrowings; maintain robust policies and procedures to ensure adequate control over treasury activities; manage payroll transactional operations, oversee payment of commission and fiduciary activities such as 401K plan; and, partner with external auditors to manage audit requests and ensure the timely completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is based in Great Neck, New York.
Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance/Commerce, Accounting or Business Analytics and 7 years of experience in supply chain finance in manufacturing, wholesale, or retail. In addition, the following specific skills are required:
· Certified Public Accountant License
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience with Oracle, SQL, Tableau and PowerBi;
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience analyzing and presenting data, insights, and recommendations to leadership;
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience overseeing internal accountants and auditors;
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience with international, multi-entity, and multi-currency operations;
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience in informal, accessible, and collaborative small-team environments;
· 7 years (5 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience in transactional accounting.
· 3 years (3 w/ Master’s Degree) of experience managing company borrowing needs and investment funds;
