The Perks of the Assistant Controller Role

• $90,000 to $125,000 annual salary
• Fort Lauderdale office, 100% on-site (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, one-hour lunch)

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller

• Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise a team responsible for accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with industry standards and internal policies
• Collaborate with leadership and operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Identify process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies across the accounting function

Must-Have Skills/Experience

• Minimum five years of accounting experience within the construction industry
• Proven supervisory experience managing accounting staff (team of approximately six or more)
• Bachelor’s degree (accounting preferred, related fields considered with strong relevant experience)
• Solid background in financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close processes
