The Perks of the Assistant Controller Role
- $90,000 to $125,000 annual salary
- Fort Lauderdale office, 100% on-site (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, one-hour lunch)

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller
- Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise a team responsible for accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with industry standards and internal policies
- Collaborate with leadership and operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Identify process improvements and help drive operational efficiencies across the accounting function
Must-Have Skills/Experience
- Minimum five years of accounting experience within the construction industry
- Proven supervisory experience managing accounting staff (team of approximately six or more)
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting preferred, related fields considered with strong relevant experience)
- Solid background in financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close processes
