Job Details

We are currently an experienced Assistant Controller to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and financial reporting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, including AP, AR, and tax-related activities
2. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of accounting data across multiple entities
3. Review financial statements for portfolio companies, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
4. Support and coordinate audits throughout the year by working closely with external auditors and preparing required documentation
5. Prepare payroll-related journal entries for various companies
6. Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and company accounting policies
7. Support the team with leadership, assist with process improvements, and help with special projects as needed


Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. CPA Required
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and financial statement preparation
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles
5. Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel
6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial data to non-financial personnel
